*Themes are provided in advance for your planning purposes. One of our goals as a photo club is to help photographers grow in their skills. By knowing the genres of upcoming competitions, while you are out traveling or out photographing events, places, etc., you will have this schedule and can use it as inspiration/ideas for photos you take, knowing they could be saved for future competitions. This schedule will also give you time to investigate more about these genres. In competitions starting in the 2026-2027 year, photos will be accepted that have been taken within the past three years.

Visitors are very welcome to join up to two of our meetings to see if you think our club is one you’d like to join. Just send an email here requesting to join us. Please send between 24-48 hours in advance!

For some of you new to submitting images in our monthly competitions, please pay close attention to the part about METADATA. It can be confusing and there is information on our webpage. But one of our very active club members, Doug Mattice, has produced some videos that should be of great help. Click here to view those videos:

For those who entered the competition with MAPV, keep watch on your email on September 28th. If any of your photos were juried in, you will be notified. You will then need to read carefully the directions for printing and matting your photos, due dates, etc. Our club’s liaison will also contact you at some point with more directions.

congratulations to the following LPC members who won ribbons at the 18th Annual Friends of Claude Moore Photography Expo.

This competition is not affiliated with the Loudoun Photo Club but it is one that our club members like to support because it is a local park. It is a fundraiser event. There is no limit to how many images are entered as you pay per image, and of course they're happy to get as many images as you're willing to pay for! Be on the lookout for announcements on our website and FB page next year.
